Dear Friend,

On behalf of the members of the Polk County Cattlemen’s Association we would like to invite you home. Home to the cattlemen’s association, if you’re a member please get involved, if not I ask that you consider membership; let me share my reasoning with you. We are striving to do things better.

Membership is up and involvement as well. This year alone BEEF has been promoted in many ways throughout our county and state. Polk County continues to maintain the largest membership in the state. Last years membership drive won the state contest and the new W-W squeeze chute was awarded to our county members at Marco Island last June. The chute is now available for our members use at no charge.
Our recent Trade Show and Ranch Rodeo attracted over 850 people for a day of family fun and entertainment and education at no charge to the members and their immediate family. Our members also enjoyed a free hamburger lunch. The association supported the Polk County Youth Fair again this year awarding all the top winners of the Commercial Heifer Show with checks totaling one thousand dollars.
Our heritage is strong and we helped to support its preservation this year by sponsoring a special exhibit on the “History of Polk County Cattle Ranching” at the Polk County Historical Museum. Part of this exhibit will be used in the National Exhibit traveling to Nevada and all over the State of Florida finding its final stop at the Florida Cattlemen’s Head Quarters in Kissimmee on permanent display.
Our Members also helped the Florida FFA with the drive to finish the State FFA Training Center on Lake Pierce with a Five Thousand Dollar donation to help train our youth in agriculture. The events that our industry and members shared in also included the Taste of Agriculture, The Beast Feast FFA fund raiser, The Legislative Appreciation dinner with Farm Bureau and on and on.
Please reconsider your membership in an organization that not only represents your way of Life, it also has a real “Value to Membership” our value is good and the Fellowship is even better at our two family steak dinners each year.
